Habari Maalum Media (HMM) is a Christian media ministry situated just outside Arusha in northern Tanzania. HMM is a part of Free Pentecostal Church of Tanzania, FPCT. The ministry has gradually developed from a few radio programmes in 1974 to today's work with radio, TV, video, music, cassette ministry, Internet and more. There are currently around 55 persons working in the different departments at HMM. Habari Maalum is Swahili and means special news. The overall goal for all parts of Habari Maalum Media is to spread the gospel - the special news - to East and Central Africa
Next to Tanzania’s second highest mountain, Mount Meru, about 15 km north of Arusha along the way to Nairobi, Habari Maalum Media's centre is located. This media station holds two studios for radio and music recording as well as departments for TV and video production, audience relations, sales, training and administration. There is also an environment department running a tree nursery, carpentry and a garage. HMM is also running four different shops, which mainly sell music products produced at HMM. One is located at the centre itself, one in the close-by Ngaramtoni village, one in Arusha town and one in Dar es Salaam. During 2006 HMM also opened a studio in Mwanza for music recording.
